HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUBBY!

Growing up, my family always had cake and ice cream on someone's birthday. It was usually a cake mix in a pan with frosting and the traditional candles. For my husbands birthday I wanted to do something special and have his family over for dessert. He loves Reese's candy so this cake was perfect!
I found this amazing cake on pinterest. It took me to Pam's Peanut Butter Cup Cake recipe. I used a delicious chocolate cake recipe with her peanut butter fudge filling as well as the peanut butter frosting. As you can see, you can decorate it with as many reese's as you would like. It is VERY rich, however, it is extremely delicious as well.

I was impressed how well it all came together. I'd never tried making any kind of cake like this. I honestly thought that the cake would not turn out (on my first attempt anyway). Luckily, it did! I was so excited to show everyone. And to be completely honest, to gloat a little bit as well. It was a big hit with the family.
